¥8,000 ish for 2 people is a steal honestly. The location is unbeatable. Literally in downtown Kyoto. I was in room 407. Quite spacious for 2 people. Interesting exposed faucet choice and there were plenty of windows for natural light to filter in. Speaking of lights, there were plenty of lights in various locations throughout the room. To my surprise, there was a mini sofa in the room. The coat rack and shoe rack were nice touches as well. I didn't get to interact with the staff that much but they got me checked in a few minutes and they seemed friendly.

The room could use a bit more sound proofing. Most of the noise from the street was blocked out, but not entirely. Being able to hear people coming and going in the hall wasn't great, but it also wasn't extremely frequent. I would easily give this hotel a 10 if there was a little bit more effort put into the small details. To knit pick a little, half filled bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash wasn't a detriment at all, but it definitely felt a bit lazy. Mismatched cups on the sink, it felt odd and weird. There were discolored patches on the carpet. Probably from previous spills or bleach that could easily be covered up with a black marker. Not sure what the white patch on the left side of the long mirror was used for but that could easily be removed.
