Crazy close to everything you could want to do as a tourist, and surrounded by good places to eat if you are tired from walking around all day. Air conditioned rooms at least in the ones we stayed at.

The rubbish is difficult, these nowhere to really put it. Walls are paper thin and rooms are close to one another so if you get another guest that is loud you will hear them from across the hall.

- The location. Even though it’s in an alley behind a (Korean) market, but it’s easy to get around Osaka with metro (4 mins walk). It’s a residential area but with some restaurants & konbinis around. I don’t feel insecure walking alone at night. It’s also not in a very touristy spot like around Tsutenkaku or Dotonbori - Value for money (hostel with AC) - The host is very responsive even in the middle of the night / early morning

- Cleaning of general area is just once a week, so it really depends on the hygiene of other guests as the bathroom & toilets are shared - I had cockroach twice in the room. But I know that it’s common in Japan (esp. during summer) & the host is very responsive for this matter, thank you - The room is tight. It’s ok for solo traveler but for 2 people, I don’t see how it can works especially with luggages
