Hotel Jaguar Oporto - is Near the Metro has Free Parking and a Free Shuttle Service between the Airport and the Hotel from 7AM to 8PM

Prompt pick up , helpful and easy access to metro , breakfast well presented & ample

Can’t find anything unsatisfactory

I booked the Jaguar Hotel because of its location on the edge of Porto not too far from the airport. We were travelling north from the hotel by car and the parking facilities were very good. We did not visit Porto at all although I would like to on another trip. The centre of Porto would be approximately 30 minutes walk from the hotel to the river Douro. The hotel had a shuttle to collect and deposit back customers to and from the airport if you don't have a hire car.

Only one problem, our bathroom scales didn't work, we asked reception to change them and they said they could not. If we wanted to weigh ourselves we could find a chemist. We didn't think this was very helpful. When I pointed out that maybe it was just the battery I was told they didn't have anymore, so it was not helpful at all. It was a minor problem but not a good reflection on the other staff in the hotel who were all very courteous and helpful.

The hotel room was very clean and comfortable, with a well appointed bathroom. It faced away from the street, which ensured a quiet environment. The staff was always very cordial and attentive.

The location, even though is 2 blocks away from the Metro, is out of the way for exploring the downtown area. Nevertheless, this was compensated by a nightly rate which offered very good value.

This is an excellent property The attention to detail and the little extra touches e.g complimentary fruit etc. Big shout out to the staff especially Carolina at reception they make the difference.

The only slight negative is the walk up from the city centre 🤣 But the metro is close by if you want to avoid the hill
