Uncomfortable bed

I liked the view from the room and the facilities inside the room.

There are two individuals rooms. There is more privacy. We love the tatami design for the room.

The bathroom and laundry room always have a musty smell. Even with the exhaust system running 24/7, it's still there, but it's much better than not having it on at all. Out of 10, the bathroom cleanliness only gets a 7, indicating room for improvement.

Good location, washing machine and cleaning supplies in the room.

The futon was incredibly uncomfortable. After 3 nights my back was hurting from sleeping on it. I've slept on many different futons during my Japan trip, and this one was the only uncomfortable one. It was literally as thick as a finger (included an image). I complained to the host and all I got was gaslighting that it "meets Japanese standards". I dare you to ask any Japanese person if they would sleep on this piece of junk, most likely it will be a no. Hate the self check in, it really ruins the experience from the get go when instead of a human I'm greeted by a useless tablet. Lack of reception is frustrating.
