The host is not responsive. We struggled to make check-in arrangements which was stressful. When the host finally answered the phone, she argued that we never called! They did not answer the phone at all when we tried to check out. Overall, their conduct and customer service was just appalling and made us feel very uncomfortable.
The accommodation is far from luxury and not maintained to an expected standard. Cheap fixtures and fittings, no cupboard space for your clothes so we couldn't even unpack. The rooms were filthy, full of dead insects, flying dust and hair, skirting boards were basically black from the dirt and corners covered in spiderwebs. The fridge and dishes were dirty, the jacuzzi had probably more dead skin and debris than water in it so we did not use it (as it turned out, it's only cleaned once a month rather than after each visit).
Upon arrival, the host advised that the terrace door is faulty and if we use too much force to open it, we will be liable for a fine! The staircase balustrade was wobbly and dangerous to use as the bars were loose and falling off (some already missing). I injured myself trying to get downstairs with my toddler -when we reported this, the host shouted at us, implied that we do not supervise our children!? blamed us for not inspecting the staircase upon arrival!? and blamed the previous guests for damaging it (no apologies or responsibility for maintenance of their own facilities). The village of Marzysz is beautiful but the place was very far from the Polish hospitality standards - especially, that the hosts are charging top end prices for the accommodation. I would recommend to everyone to seek alternative accommodation nearby.
