Yes, the rooms are very small, but given the price and the location this hotel is excellent. It’s located right in the heart of New York, so it’s very easy to get pretty much anywhere and many sights are within walking distance. The hotel has quite a high-end, quality feel - apart from the size of the rooms. The lobby area is nice and the lifts have a clever system, which works really well. The rooms are tiny (the shower and the toilet are basically just cabins in the room, so there is no separate bathroom), but well thought-out. If you don’t intend to spend lots of time in the room and don’t mind not having much privacy, then the size is not a huge issue.
The air-conditioning is loud, which is pretty annoying. We stayed in two rooms (on two separate occasions). One of the rooms was next to an electric cupboard, which created additional noise. The other room was slightly bigger but not all the charging ports worked. Some receptionists weren’t friendly.
