It’s a lovely hotel and exactly what you would expect from a Relais & Châteaux property. The restaurant is excellent, the staff are warm and welcoming, and overall I had a very enjoyable stay.
My only disappointment was the bed. Before arriving, I specifically requested a double bed and was assured this would be provided. However, the room had two single beds pushed together with a double sheet over them, which was exactly what I had hoped to avoid.
I also found the turndown service unusually early at around 5pm, which felt a little inconvenient.
Despite these minor issues, I would happily recommend the hotel to friends and would consider staying here again. I imagine it is incredible at Christmas.
