We had a wonderful stay at Yukairou Kikuya last week! The property is gorgeous and the private onsen in our room was wonderful and much appreciated after a long stay in Japan with much walking! We really enjoyed the town of Izu - Shizouka with its quaint feel, the lovely temple, bamboo forest and the beautiful river running through the town. It was such a lovely break from all the large city stays we had and my husband and I have already discussed returning without our tenn children as it is a very romantic property and is more suitable to adults. The traditional Japanese dinner and Western breakfast were all wonderful and we enjoyed the other amenities as well. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a lovely onsen stay during the visit to Japan!

We really enjoyed our stay at Yakairou Kikuya! The meals were delicious and the staff was great!
The onsen hotel was located next to the river which made for great scenery and was across the street from the Shuzenji Onsen bus stop which was very convenient. Highly recommend!
