Kawaguchiko Hotel

Great staff. Helped us book our bus to the train station. Good location. Fun historic building with lots of charm. AC is meh. Onsen was excellent.

Beautiful building with great location, helpful and kind staff! We had a memorable stay in Kawaguchiko hotel.

You cannot beat the delicious traditional breakfast, a view to Mount Fuji in the hot bath and easy access to Lake Kawaguchiko. The facility is a bit dated but it was kept clean. Still a very good option to stay a few nights visiting the area.

Pickup from bus station was very welcome. Our room was large and lovely and we had a marvellous view over the lake. On our final day we had fabulous views from the fire exit and from the rooftop observatory to Mt Fuji which was magical. The onsen was a lovely experience, exceptionally clean and relaxing, with comfortable yukata (robes) provided. The full breakfast was massive and delicious, again with lovely views of lake. We enjoyed playing pool in the games room, and the laundry under the hotel was convenient. The library was also a nice space. Lots of local food options, and convenient to attractions like Kubota Itchiku Art Museum (kiminos). Beds comfortable. Only minor thing that might have made the stay more comfortable would be having a bench to put luggage on as it is not allowed in the bedroom/ tatami area. Otherwise, perfect. Staff very welcoming and friendly and a lift back to bus station at the end of our stay as well.
