The Haus Heimatliebe is located in a quiet, central spot at the foot of the Karwendel. The train station and the pedestrian zone in the town center are just a 5- to 10-minute walk away.
The picturesque town of Mittenwald is surrounded by the Karwendel, Wetterstein, and the Hoher Kranzberg mountains. Countless hiking trails begin right on the outskirts of town, many of which are cleared in winter.
Take the family-friendly Kranzberg chairlift to reach the Kranzberg summit or the barefoot hiking trail. If you’re in the mood for an adventure, the mountain carts offer a thrilling descent. In summer, the Lauter and Ferchen lakes are perfect for swimming. You can reach the lakes via beautiful hiking trails or easily by the hiking and guest bus.
, If you’d like to go up high, the Karwendel Railway, at 2,244 meters above sea level, offers a breathtaking view of the Isar Valley and the Karwendel.

Our 2-room vacation apartment (50 square meters) on the first floor accommodates up to 4 people (2 adults + 2 children). It features a bathroom/toilet, a separate kitchen, a terrace, and additional outdoor seating. The apartment has a double bed (1.80 x 2.00 m) for 2 adults; the foot of the bed is open. The cozy living room offers sleeping accommodations for 1–2 children thanks to the large pull-out couch. The bathroom has a bathtub with a shower, a sink, and a toilet. A hair dryer and towels are provided. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a microwave, a 2-burner stove, a kettle, and a coffee maker. Wi-Fi and parking at the building are available free of charge. This is a non-smoking apartment. Pets are not allowed.
