The Paderlafoderhof is located on the sunny south side of the Val Gardena valley.
Farming has been practiced on the property for over a hundred years—formerly as a full-time occupation, and today as a sideline, with “farm stays” serving as an important source of additional income.
In the past, 10–12 people lived off the farm’s produce; today, the income from farming alone is no longer enough to support even a small family. We still raise young cattle, and apple, pear, plum, walnut, and chestnut trees adorn our fields, contributing to our agricultural revenue with their harvests.
Experience a farm vacation in our two apartments in Lajen, at the entrance to the Gröden Valley.
Winter sports in the Dolomiti Superski ski area!!!: If you’re an avid skier or snowboarder, then you’ve come to the right place. We’re located 12 km from Ortisei, at the start of the “Dolomiti Superski” ski area.
All lifts are open from early December through early April.
Not a fan of skiing? Then why not visit the Christmas markets throughout South Tyrol, which take place during the pre-Christmas season in Klausen, Brixen, Bozen, Meran, Bruneck, or even in Innsbruck.

An amazing place to stay. Accommodation is first class. View from the balcony is very relaxing. Hubert is the perfect host and all the action of Val Gardena is just around the corner. Thank you.

I loved every minute of our stay, it’s quiet, and close to the ski centre. We saw several nice sunrises and sunsets, and there’s even bread service, if you ask the owner he will help you order fresh rolls for every morning. And there’s a beautiful and friendly cat too:))

Spacious apartment, comfortable for our family of 6, and Hubert and his family were very friendly and helpful hosts. We had the most wonderful Christmas family reunion here and were even lent a huge oven to use to roast our traditional Christmas turkey, on request. We were only 10 to 15 minutes from the best pistes in the Selva Gardena and will definitely return. Thank you Hubert
