After reading the reviews, I was a little apprehensive about staying here. However, my main priorities were a good location, a balcony where I could enjoy the sunset, and a price within my budget, and this property delivered on all three. I do think some of the reviews are a little harsh, and it’s important to consider what you’re paying for. In my opinion, you get a good place for the price, particularly given the location and the views.

The stairs and roof hatch have been mentioned in other reviews. As a generally fit and able-bodied 35-year-old woman, I managed these without much difficulty. However, I would agree that this apartment may not be suitable for anyone with limited mobility or strength. The shower is functional, although the showerhead holder is positioned awkwardly, meaning you need to hold the showerhead yourself. The toilet flush is absolutely fine, but the overall water pressure isn’t particularly strong. From what I understand, this is fairly common in Ortigia, so it may not be unique to this property. On arrival late in the evening, we discovered that the main key was missing from the key box. We contacted the owner, but despite our message being read and two phone calls, we were unable to reach him for around half an hour. This was frustrating after travelling, although he did come and resolve the issue promptly once he was available.

Sijainti erinomainen. Hinta laatusuhde kohdillaan. Isäntäväki antoi kattavan infopaketin ennen saapumista ja vastasi kysymyksiin nopeasti.

Pientä fiksausta kaipaisi kämppä, mutta hinta laatusuhde on kohdillaan.

Oikeastaan tämän parempaa sijaintia ei taida Syrakusasta löytyä:)Jos ei anna huoneiston kuluneisuuden häiritä, niin kelpaa asustella. Omalla tavallaan tunnelmallinen huoneisto.

Asunto kaipaa kyllä ”pientä” pintaremonttia: parveke- ja terassikalusteet vanhoja ja kuluneita, kylpyhuone ei todellakaan viihtyisä, kaipaa kunnollista remonttia, vedenpaine suihkussa olematon ja vessanpöntölläkin tekemistä tyhjennyksen kanssa. Ai niin, ja verhot puuttuivat, mikä aiheutti sen että valoja ei pimeällä paljon tullut pidettyä päällä. Remontilla tästä saisi kyllä helposti kympin arvoisen huoneiston.

Location Location

Everything the bathroom was basic and barely in working order - the exception being the wash basin was relatively new. Missing towel rail, had to hold shower nozzle, just a lower standard compared to anything else I have stayed in. Also I would be cautious with stairs leading to rooftop. Kitchen also rudimentary.
