The Großer Hookie is located on a quiet side street in Hooksiel—close to the town center yet pleasantly secluded. This lovingly furnished semi-detached home is ideal for couples, small families, or guests with dogs who want to spend relaxing days by the North Sea.

On the first floor, you’ll find a bright entryway that leads directly into the well-equipped kitchen and the open-concept living and dining area. A cozy sofa with a TV, a dining table for four, and direct access to the covered patio with a fenced-in garden create a homey atmosphere with plenty of space. Also on the first floor is a bedroom with a pull-out single bed (which can be easily converted into a double bed) and a modern bathroom with a large shower and toilet.

An open wooden staircase in the living room leads to the upper floor. Here, a small TV nook with a recliner and a bedroom with a double bed and a closet invite you to relax.

A lockable bike shed and a washing machine are available for your use during your stay. Dogs are also welcome at the Großer Hookie—the fenced-in property offers the perfect setting for them.

Hooksiel’s charming town center invites you to stroll through its picturesque pedestrian zone, with shopping and restaurants, while a large EDEKA supermarket with a bakery at the town entrance offers everything you need for a relaxing vacation. The beach, located about 3 km away, is equipped with parking and beach chairs, and water skiing at the Hooksiel ski terraces provides plenty of action, while beautiful hiking and biking trails lead from the old harbor to the outer harbor and the beach.

The climatic health resort of Hooksiel (Zone 1) is subject to a visitor’s tax. Therefore, a visitor’s tax must be paid on site. This tax is based on the number of people, age, and length of stay. Information on the high and low seasons and the corresponding rates can be found on the Wangerland Touristik website.
The following are exempt from the visitor’s tax:
a) Children up to and including age 3.
b) Severely disabled persons whose “degree of disability” (formerly: reduced earning capacity) is 100% according to an official ID card.
c) Severely disabled persons who, according to their official ID card, are completely dependent on constant assistance (marked with a “B” on the ID card). This means: regardless of the degree of disability (e.g., GdB 80% and designation “B”).
d) Caregivers accompanying severely disabled persons who, according to their official ID card, are completely dependent on constant assistance.
