Just a really nice place to stay. I wish we had booked for longer. Very clean. Spacious and we thought out. Kitchen is a bonus. We were a group of five and were easily able to move two mattresses into the living room for more comfortable sleeping. Great location. Washing machine was very handy for a small load after our cycling tour.

If nitpicking, I think a proper drier for the washing machine, or washer/drier combo would be useful, especially for those finishing off a cycling tour.

Its a really well kept apartment with everything you need, including laundry detergents, all toiletries including new toothbrushes. Has a TV and air conditioning.

You can sometimes hear the train passing but I didn't bother us very much.

When I first arrived, I honestly felt like I’d hit the jackpot—the apartment was that nice. Everything feels new and premium, the kitchen is very well equipped, the sofa is really comfortable, and the air conditioning works well. The host was very helpful and let me check in early, which I really appreciated. The location on a shopping street is lovely, with plenty of options for dinner nearby.

Unfortunately, I barely slept, mainly because of the pillows, but also because of the noise. However nice an apartment looks, a comfortable night’s sleep is the most basic thing it needs to deliver. The pillows are exceptionally thick and, for me, incredibly uncomfortable. I even tried putting a sofa cushion inside a pillowcase to find a more comfortable alternative, but the cushions were also quite thick, so that didn’t help much. This goes beyond the usual differences in personal preference. Other reviewers have already raised the same issue, which makes it particularly frustrating that it hasn’t been addressed. Nobody expects every pillow to suit everyone, but providing conventional hotel pillows—or at least a thinner alternative—is hardly a difficult problem to solve. Established hotel chains offer a perfectly reasonable benchmark. The duvets are also far too thick for the conditions, so you have to turn the air conditioning right down just to feel comfortable under them. The bedding feels poorly thought through. There is also significant noise at night. Directly outside the bedroom window are a road, railway tracks and a level crossing. You hear passing cars, trains until late, and the crossing alarm each time a train passes. The sound insulation does very little to keep this out. The location of the railway is obviously beyond the host’s control, but guests should know what to expect. The helpful host and attractive interior deserve credit, but they don’t compensate for a largely sleepless night.
