The Hintergruberhof is a former mountain farm whose foundation walls date back to 1250. The farm is a designated historic landmark, and even though dairy farming ceased many years ago and the farm has been renovated, its rustic charm is still evident. There is free parking right at the farm. An outdoor staircase leads directly to the first floor and the apartment’s entryway.

Our farm is located at the foot of the Brünnstein, about 1 km above Oberaudorf and 3 km from the town center. The apartment is easily accessible via a paved mountain road and is nestled in the heart of the Bavarian Alps with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains, meadows, and forests. Numerous attractions are just a few minutes’ drive or even within walking distance, yet you’ll still enjoy the peace and quiet far away from the hustle and bustle.
The former mountain farm has been passed down through generations of the Kurz family since 1729. We are Anton and Petra Kurz, and we live on the farm with our two children, seven sheep, two cats, and our chickens. We look forward to welcoming you to our newly renovated apartment.
