It's a clean place in a good part of town. No problems, no drama.
The hallway on the upper level is very liminal. Even if you are close to the top of the stairs in the lobby it's still a long walk. The second night of my stay was 45% more expensive.

Price
Limited breakfast, $10 more for lower level room, NO ELEVATOR, luggage up steps is not fun. We would not stay there again!

The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. It was close to sights we were there to visit: Bear Country, Mount Rushmore, Black Hills National Cemetery, downtown, and for the end of our trip- the airport.
While very comfortable and clean, the room was outdated and the continental breakfast left a lot to be desired. There were bagels, cereal with milk, and microwavable frozen Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches if requested. There were no fruit or pastries. The serving area was small so it was uncomfortable to grab the food with a crowd of people waiting (and sometimes not waiting) their turn.
