The house was very clean and very spacious. Although having 2 kitchens was great, it was a little inconvenient because certain utensils or kitchen items were in one and not the other. Very limited on cooking utensils overall (there was one ladle and a spaghetti straining spoon along with a variety of knives), this made cooking difficult at times. We were without electricity for 2 days while we waited for the electrician to come. Communication from the owner during this time was not the best but she did provide a discount at the end of our stay after I asked. The only shower is on the main floor with the jacuzzi bath tub upstairs with the bedrooms. The house has hardwood floors throughout and is not very soundproof, you can hear every step and the tv from the main floor up to the bedrooms very clearly. The roof top terrace is very nice with lots of seating. Overall, nice stay in a quaint town with a grocery store close by. Would stay here again and would recommend.

This historic house at is charming and beautiful. The home overlooks a small and lovely canal in a pleasant sleepy town. The house is absolutely spotless and very well-equipped, with everything needed to feel at home and relax. We especially appreciated and enjoyed the expansive terrace overlooking the canal. A perfect place to relax after a busy week in Venice: the rural and beautiful location is nevertheless a very manageable drive to the Venice airport, while the surrounding area offers great off-the-beaten-track exploring. All communications with the owner were pleasant and friendly. We were a party of four adults and were quite comfortable and had more than adequate space. In fact, the home is quite roomy and could easily accommodate more people. We would highly recommend this lovely home without hesitation.

We enjoyed our stay

We were greeted by Nicola who spoke very good English, he introduced us to his property in a very friendly and informative way. A beautiful clean and well presented house, decorated tastefully throughout by Nicola’s friendly wife who we had the pleasure of meeting on a couple of occasions. Being beside a canal in the quaint village of Pontemanco we were able to watch and feed the fish and listen to the water wheel by Cafe Zhivago.Nicola gave us a bountiful amount of clear information regarding a good supermarket, restaurants, transport etc. and was available if any assistance was required.We hired the full house for twelve days from where we visited Bologna, Sirmione, Verona, Padua, Ferrara and Chioggia by car which were all within a 90 minuets drive. We even took a train to Milan from Padua, using the park and tram to Padua recommended by Nicola.Nicola kindly provided tinned tomatoes, herbs, spaghetti, breakfast cereal, coffee, tea, milk, fruit juice, bottled water and a bottle of wine on arrival. He also provided washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and washing machine liquid.We used the village bakery for fresh breads and we were even able to purchase milk, butter and fruit juice when we ran short.We would love to return to this property.
