Its strategic location places guests within a stone’s throw of the ferry and resort amenities, enabling you to leave the car at home.
On entering the fully WiFi-enabled 1st floor apartment, steps lead down to the first sitting room, which is a light and airy modern space with sofa suite and flat screen TV. The lovely room also features a partial reclaimed fresco ceiling and leads through to the main family Living room. The generous size room enjoys a bright and welcoming open plan layout; with picture windows and balcony access on hand to make the most of the far-reaching lake views. The romantic lake back drop is certainly something to write home about! The comfortable sofa suite and flat screen TV provide every excuse to kick back and take in the views, whilst the adjoining open Kitchen diner with partly reclaimed fresco ceiling, breakfast bar for 2 and a dining table for 4 sets the scene for enjoying tasty home-cooked meals. Guests will find the Kitchen fully equipped with a cooker hob, oven, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, coffee machine, dishwasher and fridge freezer.
The serene, modern apartment features 2 generous size bedrooms which are both furnished with a Double bed and provide an ambient, restful setting for tempting holiday slumbers. Overall we really enjoyed our stay in Menaggio. We had wanted a place right on the lake, and the lounge/kitchen/balcony area had the most wonderful view. The only things we found and think it is good to be aware of is, when it is hot (and we had some pretty hot days) the back bedrooms are not airconditioned at all, and they back onto the very busy lake road. We were unable to open the windows, and had to sleep with earplugs even with the window closed. We did ask for fans (as we really did have trouble sleeping) and the helpful woman downstairs, part of the company managing the property, did ask the owner and the next day brought three fans for the bedrooms, which we really appreciated (I do think, however, that the description for the place should clearly state that whilst there is aircon, it is in the main part of the house only and not in the bedrooms. One bedroom was OK, but the 2 round the back didn't at all. I saw 'airconditioning' listed as a feature and assumed it meant the whole apartment). When we mentioned the heat/noise to the same helpful woman she did comment that some people are not used to noise at all (?), but given we live in a large city and had also stayed this trip in London, Edinburgh, Milan and Singapore (to name a few) we were familiar with noise, but the bedrooms in Menaggio (in June anyway) were the noisiest! But outside of heatwaves, which is most of the time, the apartment is worth it for its location and views alone.

The location is great…right on the water, but the beach was dirty and no lawn chairs or loungers to sit on. You can look at it!
The rooms were clean, but the bedrooms were warm. Air conditioning didn’t reach the rooms…a little warm. The sheets on our bed had holes in them, but clean. Toilet paper holder broken, and you have to relocate the microwave to use it…the cord isn’t long enough.
Little irritants….especially for the amount charged. Location is great…great access to the ferry, and the town center. Communicating with the management was helpful. The bus stop instructions could use a little more clarification.
We enjoyed our stay …we’d probably pick a different place next time….
