The staff and location were exceptional! There is a hourly shuttle to the V&A waterfront. It is very easy to Uber from here!
This is a busy hotel so a late checkout for late night flights is almost impossible.

Staff mostly friendly and attentive. Incident where I was ignored by staff was dealt with efficiently. Senior staff very apologetic and attentive the following day (as were other staff) when they'd obviously been informed about my treatment.
One incident where I sat in the bar for 10 minutes (post-menopausal woman travelling alone) and was ignored. Couple walked in and were attended to immediately. Complained to reception staff on my way back to my room and incident was dealt with, so I think this was an unfortunate one-off.

We got an upgrade on arrival and the room was very spacious and clean. Team were friendly.
The room was a little cold (need some soft furnishings and a rug would have made it more comfortable. The location/ entry was strange as we were right by a train track and no idea how you cross that to get to the actual waterfront...
