Big bed and a bath, plenty of towels and warm..

First the company has a data breach and I was spam WhatsApped by scammers for two weeks up to our stay demanding I needed to confirm payment or lose the room. Luckily I'm pretty savvy. Secondly arriving in Port Renfrew in early October absolutely nothing to do except enjoy the beaches/trails. The one pub was awesome very close and walkable but shut at 8pm and the other restaurant (a long walk back in the dark) shut at 7pm .. Although there was a very basic kitchen the local store sells very little in the way of food to prepare so tried both eaterys! There was one breakfast place too! There was nothing overly wrong with the room clean and practical but not overly luxurious for the price. Every time someone moved above us or flushed a toilet you could hear it clearly. But that is often the case in many hotels. The lack of people about.. electronic key pads that you are sent lock.cofe for makes it a little soulless in a very isolated spot.

Our room was clean and quiet.

The king bed room and bathroom were nicely renovated and well furnished.

No staff! Just lots of text messages and limited ability to connect with anyone. No housekeeping during the stay. Did meet a nice staff member in the lodge on second day. Would be helpful to have curtains on the windows as bright lights flooded in all night around the blinds. Basically checked ourselves in and out, which was a surprise. No signage on website that Juan de Fuca trail has been closed for 18m. Not WF’s responsibility, but would have been very helpful to know. Nice room.
