Enjoy a day on the beach, which lies just 0.5 of a mile from this delightful cottage. Within walking distance of the promenade, pier and a variety of amenities.
Ideally located in the heart of the picturesque village of Yarmouth, this semi-detached holiday cottage provides the perfect base from which to explore this beautiful Island. Yarmouth is famous for its sailing and fishing, and still retains all of its character and 'olde-worlde' style. There are a variety of inns, restaurants, shops and galleries within easy walking distance, with the promenade and pier adding extra charm. The islands stunning scenery offers a variety of routes for cyclists, walkers and outdoor enthusiasts with some of the best routes available directly from Yarmouth. There is also an excellent bus service which covers the island, and guests can walk from the ferry terminal to the property. Beach 0.5 mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

This was our third year in a row at Grove Cottage - we keep coming back, so it must be good! The cottage is really well placed for easy access to the wonderful Yarmouth and having a drive to park the car (albeit a little tight) is very handy. It is on the main access road in to Yarmouth, which can be a little noisy from intermittent passing vehicles overnight and in the early morning, so take your ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper.
The cottage is small (very quaint) but perfectly adequate for the two of us and it’s equipped with most things you need. It does though need a little updating/decorating as it’s getting a bit tired - nothing major, but would benefit from a lick of paint here and there. It could also do with a slightly bigger TV with cable TV or Sky so you can easily and reliably get all the terrestrial channels at least - the current TV is difficult to use and lacks any BBC channels.
Overall, there are far more positives than negatives - we love Grove Cottage and will be returning next year, no doubt.

A delightfully cottage with many charming quirks. Great location within easy reach of the town, parking space was the perfect size for a mid-size SUV. Easy access to the river for walks and green spaces for the dog. Although very much on one side of the island, nothing on the IoW is too far away so access to all places of interest was easy. Regular buses if using public transport.

Grove Cottage is superbly located on the road into the town of Yarmouth and is very convenient for accessing retail outlets, pubs, and restaurants.
It's old, and that's its charm. It's well-appointed, and that's good for modern living. It has a lovely large garden with shade and full sun. It has parking.
Neil, Jackie, Freya and our Greyhound Hamish love this cottage and are looking forward to returning soon.

GROVE COTTAGE IS A SMALL PROPERTY, OBVIOUSLY VERY OLD, BUT FULL OF APPROPRIATE PERIOD FEATURES.
MOST OF THE FACILITIES ARE OK AND THE GENERAL CONDITION INSIDE IS ACCEPTABLE. THE KITCHEN IS VERY SMALL BUT USABLE FOR A COUPLE.
INFORMATION ABOUT EQUIPMENT IN THE COTTAGE IS NOT GOOD AND NO INSTRUCTIONS WERE PROVIDED ABOUT WHERE THAT IS LOCATED. SOME WE ONLY DISCOVERED ON THE SECOND DAY BY WHICH TIME WE HAD ALREADY EXPERIENCED PROBLEMS. EITHER THE OWNERS OR THE MANAGEMENT COMPANY NEED TO DEAL WITH THIS AND PROVIDE A FOLDER WITH ALL RELEVANT INSTRUCTION INFORMATION PLUS GUIDES TO USING EQUIPMENT.
THE GARDEN IS PLEASANTLY INFORMAL AND BENEFITS FROM LOTS OF SUN.
