What an amazing place to explore Istria, central location within 30 minutes drive of all you could want and straight on to the train line if you prefer ( which we did to Pula for a day trip). All attractions easy to book online with lots to do, including the fort owned by the family of the property which also hosts a medievil dinner on thursday nights all involving the family and locals which is a must for a great night of food and entertainment. The house is well kept and fully stocked with all utensils and items you could want for your stay including towels, tea towels and adequate seating. As a party of 10 with age ranges from 9 to 67 we found lots to do from playing pool, table tennis and even chess to going down the slide in the pool which was a great hit with the young ones and a few of the older ones :). Igor as the manager was great very quick to answer questions via this site and with a few of our group who arrived early by plane taking them out for a drink and sorting them out a take away for the first night as we were delayed driving across Europe. The family who own the property take care of the cleaning and general running of the villa and were so good on the morning of our check out, when loading my car for the 1300 mile drive home i had a flat tyre and within 45 minutes he had come taken my tyre away and returned with it fixed. All i can add is what a great time we had at this villa and the area of Istria Croatia and how lovely all the people are that we met. thank you for a great holiday

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the villa was lovely and the pool a big success with the children . Vedrun and his Mother were very friendly and helpful. A nice touch being given a bottle of their own olive oil and liqueur. Also the free entry to the Medieval Park was a great experience.

Great Location, helpful People. The house is built with love and the pool is great. We had lots of fun!

I must say that we really enjoyed our new year at Smiljanic. The house is really tastefully renovated as it says in advert. And the hosts. They really concerned that our vacation was pleasant. They even prepared christmas tree and lights around and inside the house. Welcome drink and traditional home made olive oil made our food even more tasteful. 3 min walk away there is small train station. One day we decided to visit Pula with train. Kids loved it. From train station in Pula there is less then 10 min walk to arena that's well known all around the world and nearby is pizzerija with excellent pizza and play park for kids. It's called Peekaboo. I must thank once more ro Vedran for taking care of our needs :)
