Had a most enjoyable stay at Venus Bay

Cosy, well appointed and clean home on great block in great location. Books and games for children and young adults. Good heating for nippy nights. Will definitely come again.

We were pleasantly surprised when we entered this home. While it did not give much away from the outside, the interior was warm and inviting. The master bedroom and ensuite and bathroom/laundry had been updated and were fresh and modern. All the bedrooms were large with an open plan lounge and kitchen. The huge backyard would be a plus for families with children. Close to the shops and main access to beach with a walkway through the bush to Paris Cres Beach. Would definitely return.

We unfortunately arrived on a gusty 41 degree day so it put us in a unique situation that others may not have to experience. The place had been locked up and was like stepping into a sauna with the strangest toxic smell, new flooring or something? There is one ceiling fan in the main bed, a small pedestal fan, and a small floor fan, but all pretty redundant for the size of the place and in that heat. When the cool change happened I set about opening up the windows, however I doubt the blinds and curtains have been cleaned in some time, I was sneezing and sniffling for hours after that - so much so that I had to buy some antihistamines just to survive the next 4 days. You can tell there is been some updates to the property but it would've been better had they spent less money on marine and beach themed ornaments and more on maintenance eg. Fly screens, cleaning, and locks. Best part was fussball table. Won't be back again but some may like it's rustic appeal.
