Very nice accommodation in an incredibly peaceful environment. The boat provided allows lovely outings. The hosts are pleasant and available. Easy to reach Utrecht or Amsterdam.

What a fantastic property! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at ‘De Duif’, a great home, well equipped and in the midst of amazing nature! We loved travelling up the canal and to the lake in the rowing boat and also enjoyed day trips to Amsterdam and Utrecht! We would love to come back! We travelled as a couple with our one-year-old son. The accommodation is right on the water in a very quiet and scenic area. The hosts gave us a friendly welcome and were helpful. Unfortunately, you can't get close to the accommodation by car and there is only a path made of wood shavings to get there. For people with heavy luggage or disabilities, this information may be helpful in advance. Overall, the accommodation could be renovated or repaired in some places. For example, the floor is broken and torn up in many places. There was also some mould in the shower. Regardless of the things we criticised, we liked the accommodation. It was tastefully furnished and many everyday items were already available. The only thing that irritated me was that we had to pay extra for the bed linen. Unfortunately, after a few days, both our son and a short time later we got bite marks and a rash, which strongly indicated that there were bed bugs in the accommodation, so we left a day early. Compensation was refused. Due to the last mentioned points, I can only recommend the accommodation with some reservations.
