Everything. When I read the reviews I didn’t believe it could be a good as was mentioned. Vilma the owner was helpful in every regard going well beyond anything expected. She took me to the train station and helped with my trip to Machu Picchu, she speaks English fluently which made everything very easy, the room was perfectly cleaned and decorated with quality bedding and towels. Would definitely recommend, one of the Jo rest people I have met.

Everything, the host was exceptional and went out of her way to help us even when we arrived very late as our train was delayed more than an hour.
Very clean, perfect breakfast and she even helped us catch our early ride the next morning

Vilma is the absolute BEST, motherly figure who will take care of your EVERY need. I can’t tell you how many times Vilma helped me on my trip - from luggage storage to cash withdrawal to logistical planning. A stay here is worth its weight in GOLD because of Vilma
Just a bit of a walk to downtown, but it’s quiet and relaxing without all the people here

Nice house and good breakfast.
Very welcoming couple who put lots of effort into hosting you.
The room was a bit worn-out, meaning old and felt like untouched since the 80s.
I get that this is a private mansion and all rooms were former bedrooms, but I feel if you do commercial activities, you need to adjust and refresh a bit...
Location a bit "off".
Lack of privacy at times, as you cannot just enter / leave unnoticed.
What really put me off was how I mentioned that I was suffering from a bit of altitude sickness. While the host seemed genuinely concerned and kindly offered me a pill... the price tag appeared the moment the pill dropped into my hand…
