Islander Resort

Loved the overall resort & our room was very spacious & nicely furnished, liked the steamer as opposed to traditional iron/ironing board, staff very friendly

We felt like more information about the resort could be available. We didn’t enjoy the restaurant, I had the lobster pasta but the lobster was too hard to eat. The waiter was a real professional and sorted it out for me but we never attempted to eat there a 2nd time so the resort lost out as we stayed for 4 nights.

We LOVE the Islander.. specifically the property.. You would never know driving by the enormous "back yard" and the pool area. The room was set back from the water view a little.. but very quiet place to relax and enjoy the property. The rooms are 4 in a building , all rooms are on the ground level, staggered and they have a good sized patio that you can walk out you back door and walk the property (unfortunately you can't lock the patio door from the outside.) We have stayed here several times and will continue to.. hopefully you like it as much as we do..

A suggestion: put the same Key lock on the back doors ( patios) so you don't have to walk all the way around to the front of the building. The 1 way road going towards the boat ramp is well a 1 way road.. you kind of feel like you're playing " Chicken" who will get there first.. Fortunately.. it doesn't happen very much.

The property was beautiful! I loved the set up of individual cottage-like rooms tucked privately into the native vegetation. The room and private patio were functional, modern and clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable! All the amenities were fantastic. We caught a bunch of fish on the hotel pier. The staff was also so friendly!

Hated to leave!

Good location, nice views and awesome basketball court. The bars are nice and the rooms are clean. The bungalow rooms are very nice- you have your own little area. Gym area is nice- but small

Our ceiling fan fell from our ceiling in the middle of the night and woke us up. Definitely tainted our experience. The manager took a night off the bill for us which was nice. We also said we were going to the restaurant on property for a birthday dinner - he said he would talk to the restaurant manager about getting a discount on dinner because of the fan falling— but nothing happened. Nice property but didn’t fully enjoy our experience here.
