Quality Inn & Suites Shepherdstown

This is a great place to stay when visiting historic Shepherdstown. The beds are fabulous, the rooms are exceptionally quiet, each has a small fridge and a microwave (amazing amenities for the price!). The staff could not be nicer or more helpful. I will be back.

The water supply line to my sink was shut off. I had to brush my teeth with bottled water and wash my face in the tub. Apparently there was a missing part that had been ordered but had not yet arrived. It was inconvenient, but I chose not to move away from my friend in the handicapped room next door. She thought her room was fabulous!

The Quality Inn & Suites Shepherdstown is a decent hotel though a little creaky around the edges (needs updates inside and out). They employ a friendly staff, though they didn't have the answer for our issue with the television. They offer some (though not many) local channels, though our TV wasn't connecting to all and staff had no idea how to fix that issue. I did see a few gnats flying around my cpap machine so I took the proactive step of covering it with a plastic bag so they didn't get in the water. The breakfast they offer in the morning is good enough. Make your own waffles, bagels/toast, yogurt, and cereal to start your day.

I could have done without the gnats who were trying to get into the water reservoir of my cpap machine. The hotel is / should be on the schedule for an update. Paint on the exterior look worn as did carpet and such.

Front desk service and willingness to help made the stay work out for us.

1st floor toilet did not flush properly. We moved to 2nd floor no problem. Room keys failed relatedly.Front desk personnel helped as best they could to reset keys.

Friendly and helpful staff

Known door malfunction issue has not been addressed, caused difficulty entering the room. Ants in the bathroom and bedroom.
