Location close to LA Candelaria, but quiet enough to sleep. Hot water in shower. Nice terrace. Allowed luggage storage on day of departure.
Reception wasn't very helpful for local recommendations. Found all the places to visit on instagram and Google. Receptionist didnt seem to know the area. He also didn't really pay attention when I was asking questions, constantly on his phone. They were so preocupied that they failed to notice people standing at the entrance waiting to be let in. Room was also cold, though blankets were provided for sleeping.

The colonial architecture is incredible, the space of the private room, the kindness of the staff, the breakfast was good, and the best, the location. It was my second time there

Lovely colonial building with big room including balcony (private room booked) in a great location. Roof terrace was a good place for breakfast and to reflect on your day.
Wilma the cleaner was a great help and very supportive after my knee injury which was nothing to do with the hostal.
During our five day stay we only had water in the room for about two days ie no tap water, shower or toilet flush. An alternative hostel 5 minutes walk away was suggested after two days for a shower.
The room was noisy due to outside traffic (plus old style windows) but this was mentioned Ed in previous reviews and so not a problem for us but may impact light sleepers.
