Gun Hill Cottage is situated in amongst the rural village of Heathfield, with three bedrooms that can sleep five people, with two bathrooms.
Gun Hill Cottage sits in among the East Sussex countryside in the village of Heathfield, has three bedrooms; one room hosts a double bed and chest of drawers, with the second having a twin bed layout and the third bedroom has one small single bed.
The Kitchen is set out with a fully fitted in ‘Shaker style’, with oven, electric hob, washing machine, microwave, butler sink and door out to the garden. The L-shaped living room with large leather sofa, armchair, TV, DVD player, brick fireplace containing a wood burning double sided stove and double doors out to patio.
Please note a starter pack of logs, kindling, firelighters and matches is included.
Enclosed, third of an acre of garden with a shallow band of woodland behind the cottage supporting a diversity of wild flowers and bird life, Kidney shaped pond with underwater lighting and statue water feature and lawned areas extending into the woodland beyond Gun Hill Cottage.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS PROPERTY ACCEPTS ONE SMALL WELL BEHAVED DOG. TO REMAIN DOWNSTAIRS AND OFF THE FURNITURE PLEASE.

Unfenced pond is approx 1' deep, please supervise small children. Off road parking for 1 small to medium car and roadside parking for an additional one car.
The height of doorways and ceilings may not be suitable for very tall people.The entrance to the car parking space is tight. When approaching from the south it is advised to either drive slightly north of the entrance to reverse in, or to turn the car at the entrance to Swan Wood Lodge/House for a smooth nose-in approach. The lane is quiet in the evenings and for much of the day, but traffic can be fairly busy at peak times. A Good Housekeeping bond of £200 is required for this property.
Region: With many quaint, seaside and market towns, historic sites and miles of glorious coastline to explore, Sussex has it all for a great holiday destination.
Town: One of the Vicinity’s lovely walks is the Wealdway, which meanders around a mile to Chiddingly, a classic English village with church, pub (The Six Bells), cricket field and street of delightful cottages. Horam Manor is about one mile to the north and offers fishing, nature trails, riding lessons, and pottery painting, while for keen golfers there are courses at Horam Park (one mile) and Wellshurst (three miles).

We enjoyed the cottage very much. Although on first glance the kitchen seems very small, it turns out it was a great cooking kitchen! The utensils and conveniences available were just right. The rooms were comfortable with good beds. The showers were clean with great pressure and temperature. Two recommendations would be to include a second handrail on the right to make climbing and descending the staircase a little safer. The second would be to provide recycling as it was astonishing to throw everything into one bin.

Het is een gezellig huis!!
Wij kwamen in een koude periode, bij aankomst was het huis niet warm en de verwarmingsplaten die er zijn, zijn niet voldoende om het huis te verwarmen.
Wij miste ook het hout om de kachel aan te maken, dit in andere woningen die wij inmiddels huurde waar het hout wel bij inbegrepen was.
Hebben het hout zelf moeten kopen!
