Great vacation place

It really was perfect... we are casual people, love comfort and amenities! It had all of that and more. The hot tub was such a bonus after a hard day hiking lovely to just get off our feet and float away! I was cozy in the room facing east with the twin beds and my friend was very happy with the beautiful bedroom. She's pretty picky with beds and this was a good fit! The views were wonderful, the stars so clear and really quiet! We loved having my dog, Finn , come along. He too was very happy and a good guest I might add! It was great that the little town of Centennial was so close. Nice options for eating, a little grocery store where we bought our bottled water for our stay. Everyone so personable and easy to talk with! One suggestion I might make is to have some kind of a notebook in the house beyond the VRBO information. For example if people choose to have a fire having instructions would be helpful. We will be back! Betsy, Eugenie, and Finn.

It was great location to Snowy Range for our family.

Ok, to start I have never written a negative review about a property we rented on VRBO or Airbnb and I'm not trying to start now, I'm just going to be totally honest here. First the good - location is fantastic just one minute from medicine bow national forest. The check in was easy with no crazy instructions for checkout, communication was no problem. The cabin has tons of potential but in my humble opinion, it needs a lot of updates and repairs to be in a condition where you'd rent it out to people. There are quite a few badly water damaged spots on the ceiling, boards rotting out on the deck and hot tub area, a whole section of deck railing that doesn't appear safe as it looks like it broke off and was hastily repaired with part of a grill grate and a few wood screws. the kitchen counter slopes away from you to the point that you have to put something under the back of the coffee maker to level it. The ceiling fan in the bedroom rattles like crazy when you turn it on due to a bad light socket, the shower is not great with 1/4" gap between the tub and the tile in one corner. It just really needs someone to put a few thousand and some time into it to fix it up to be a proper rental unit in my opinion. Also the pictures show kids sitting by a fire pit which doesn't exist and the grill was out of propane which are both easy fixes just a little annoying. Now back to the positve - sitting on the deck one evening after dark we heard a mountain lion scream at some dogs very cool!
