Perfect location for exploring downtown Summerland, all within walking distance. Fairly steep stairs to second floor that includes living room, kitchen, and bathroom so a consideration if you have mobility or balance issues. We were there for only one night which worked for the smaller cottage layout. We might choose larger accommodations if we were going to have an extended stay. Host was an excellent communicator with needed details.

Lovely cozy home! Thank you for your instant response time! Very clean and loved the views!

The host generously allows you to leave luggage before the checkin time. We did so at 3p and the place had not yet been cleaned for our 4p checkin, nor was anyone there. We did checkin with the host to be sure that it would be ready. It was ready when we returned at 5p but there was 1 stained washcloth available because no one had time to wash the laundry. Each time we contacted host, he is not the speediest in responding. We were there during the week so parking wasn't an issue. I could see it being so on the weekend. Most of the quarters are upstairs up a steep stairwell, so if getting upstairs is an issue, this may not be the place for you. Views were nice. Don't walk barefoot on the beach nearby or you will come back with tar on your feet. Tip - don't get your feet wet before applying oil or a cleanser. There was Dawn at the place and we were able to use that to remove our tar.

The location and walkability to the beach was great as were the ocean views. The description of the rental didn't portray the property accurately. This was a one bedroom rental with another bed in the living room, the property and out door spaces are shared, all parking is on the street. It The house could use some attention, the bed in the living room sagged in the middle, the air conditioner did not work, outdoor furniture had broken pieces, handles were coming off cabinets in the kitchen, and there were screens missing from the downstairs window. Though all of those issues are not big deals it made it feel like, over all, the cost did not match the condition of the rental.
