This was my fourth year of staying in Anne-Marie and Wayne‘s house. Both owners are very responsive to any communication. The house itself is beautiful. The front porch is amazing to drink coffee and just feel the breeze.I recommend this place 100%

The cottage was just lovely and very comfortable. It was only about a ten minute walk to the beach and the private beach was very nice. The front porch was one of our favorite parts of the stay. We had everything we needed to make meals with a large kitchen. We felt right at home.

The cottage was beautiful and immaculately clean. It was comfortable and had unexpected features, such as an outdoor shower with hot water for folks returning from the beach. Chalker Beach is a short walk away, where the sand is groomed regularly. The cottage also featured a screened gazebo and grill for outdoor dining. Our hosts gave us a warm welcome! We can't say enough how much we loved our stay.

The cottage itself was charming, peaceful, and nicely maintained — a lovely spot once settled in. However, there were several inconveniences that impacted our overall experience. We were disappointed to find out we needed to bring our own sheets, towels, and toiletries — something that’s not easy when flying across the country from Arizona to Connecticut. After a long travel day and arriving late in the evening, the last thing we wanted to do was make beds before we could rest.Additionally, the lockbox for the key was difficult to open, which made arrival even more frustrating. Communication with the owner was slow, which didn’t help with coordinating details. In short, while the cottage itself was pleasant, the lack of basic essentials, late-night arrival hassles, and logistical snags made the experience more stressful than it should have been. With a few thoughtful improvements, this rental could be more guest - friendly.
