Location is great, staff and management very friendly

I had a wonderful stay at Shanuo in Zanzibar! A special thank you to the amazing front desk team, especially Salma and Lilly. I truly felt a connection with them from the moment I arrived. They are incredibly friendly, warm, responsive, and always willing to help. They honestly made my stay even more special. ❤️ A big thank you as well to the housekeeping team, who were always lovely and attentive, and to the Maasai security team, who were so friendly and welcoming. And of course, thank you to the marketing team for the photoshoot! I had such a great time — I’m still waiting for my pictures though, haha! 😄📸 Overall, Shanuo has a great location in Michamvi on Zanzibar’s east coast, with a beautiful beach and sea view. The room was lovely, the atmosphere was great, and the hotel itself is a wonderful place to stay. Well done, Claudio, and the whole Shanuo team! Thank you for making my Zanzibar stay such a memorable one. I would definitely recommend Shanuo for Female Solo travelers and would be happy to come back again.

The location is within a few minutes walk to the restaurants and very cleaned, welcoming, friendly staff and gone extra mile ready to help when needed the most. We have requested for our friends to join us for breakfast and everything we’re set up nicely outside our room overlooking a nice view of the sea.The room is cleaned and facilities like sunbeds are always available and quiet enjoyed the hammock hang out in between the coconut tree.

Nothing to mention

THE breakfast was good, the location was ok though a bit difficult to find when you get close, as the road is nor very clearly made out. otherwise i was happy with the facility, in general.

the drainage of the shower could be improved so that water does not flow towards the toilet, and the sink. the access to the rock was quite traumatic for some of our team, if there was a way to have a motorised boat of have a bridge for a high tide
