The apartment is very nice and located in a nice part of the city. Great park nearby to sit and relax and have a coffee or beer. Close to the Rato Metro stop, so it's easy to get to the rest of the city. Pingo Doce grocery store is also nearby. Check-in was easy - the host met me there and explained about the neighborhood and places to check out. The free airport transfer that was included/offered via Booking.com was great as well.

Only small issues: 1) no towels in the kitchen to dry dishes, but I bought a small towel at Pingo Doce. 2) no hot water kettle, so you have to boil water with the microwave for coffee or tea. There are only big pots for utensils, so boiling water on the stove is technically possible, but not so practical. If the apt's electrical system can support a microwave and a toaster, it can support a water kettle. 3) the periodic sour plumbing smell that others have mentioned showed up from time to time, but if you run the water in the kitchen sink for a minute or so, it goes away.

Não ter máquina de lavar e um certo cheiro de umidade (mofo) nos quartos. Pra quem é alérgico como eu, ataca logo.

Nice location. Overall experience was ok.

A lot of dust, broken things, mold in the shower. Dishwasher didn’t work. Chairs outside were broken. Kudos to photographer who did the photos.
