Hostel Detroit

A bit far from bus stop

I appreciated the closeness to a variety of places to eat. Within walking distance, I had nice options after a long day of travel. There was plenty of space to spread out in the facility. Comfortable beds, with noticeably clean sheets are always a plus! I also liked the small shelf, and outlets attached to the wall near my bed. The staff was very accommodating in assisting me with entry when I arrived. And, helpful when I needed to store my belongings to attend an interview on my departure. All the staff were friendly, and professional without being too stiff.

I prefer to stay in hostels when I travel not only for the budget, but the camaraderie of fellow travelers . That being said, having a room with beds that aren't bunks would be welcome. Or, caping a room at 6 or 8 bunks. (Ten's a lot of grown humans, with stuff, packed in a room.) More outlets in the common areas that are functional would help, also.

Close to public transportation, restaurants, and stores. Great price for stay.

Nothing to dislike

Location, parking and staff

Too soft mattresses and squicky beds
