Visbeker Deern Hotel Garni

The hotel was modern, clean, and the beds were very comfortable. It was also great to have windows that you could open for fresh air. It is only a very, very short stroll to the restaurant/bar owned by the same people but I would recommend booking as we only just managed to get in at 7pm. We were only on a stop over whilst travelling home from a road trip but would be very happy to come back.

We struggled to find the hotel in the dark because there were tents set up for the forthcoming Fest and one covered up the sign pointing to it. This was only minor and we realise not for ever. As I am vegetarian I would have liked to see some more fruit at breakfast (maybe just a banana/apple/pear/orange if the hotel is worried about wastage) but breakfast was still good.

Schoon mooi ruim

Wij kwamen van Kiel na een overtocht uit Klaipeda. We wilden die avond nog voorbij Bremen komen. Dus pas halverwege de avond op zoek gegaan naar een geschikt hotel om te overnachten niet ver van de A1. Het hotel in Visberk had nog een kamer en via een sleutelkastje konden we probleemloos inchecken. Het hotel blijft telefonisch bereikbaar, dat voelde ook veilig. Mooie, schone kamer met heerlijk bed en heel stil ‘‘s nachts. Het hotel is origineel en sfeervol ingericht. Vanaf Kiel ligt het hotel iets verder van de snelweg, maar richting de Nederlandse grens ligt het gunstiger. Prima ontbijt.

Room was new, clean and nicely decorated. Parking provided but this is quite obvious at the middle of nowhere.

Check-in desk was not open when we arrived at 5 pm on Saturday. We had to use check-in machine. It was not able to handle my credit card which has both credit and debit functions. Nobody answered in the numbers given at the door. Finally we got in using another credit card. Breakfast had been good at first, but many of the dishes were over. There was no service at all.
