House was great for our large group with young kids

We had a fantastic stay! The space was spotless, beautifully decorated, and even more charming than the photos. It truly felt like a home away from home — comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared with all the little touches that make a big difference. The location was perfect, close to everything I wanted to explore, and the neighborhood felt safe. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you so much for your hospitality. We stayed for a weekend with two other families with kids. We loved that the house is all on one level. Lots of space for kids to play, the nearby beach was great, and we enjoyed the hot tub as well. The host, Flora, was very friendly and responsive. Unfortunately, the house could use a little extra TLC and had some issues: The house was not as clean as we would have expected. While free from debris, the floors felt a little sticky, like they hadn't had a good cleaning in a while, and many of the pots and pans were in bad condition (non-stick coating peeling off, caked on grime) and even a lot of the dishes didn't feel clean enough to use without re-washing first. Perhaps this was related to the fact that the dishwasher was damaged and the dishes weren't being cleaned properly. There was also water leaking out from under the fridge, and 7 out of the 10 promised beach passes were missing. When I contacted Flora about the dishwasher, refrigerator, and missing beach passes, she responded quickly, and was very understanding and apologetic. But unfortunately the issues weren't able to be solved during our stay. Finally while we did bring our own towels as instructed, we didn't realize there wouldn't be any bathmats in the bathrooms—making for slippery and dangerous floors after a shower—or dish towels in the kitchen. Overall, the house has a lot of great things about it, but it definitely needs some attention.
