A really nice property with everything you could wish for and more, in a great location to enjoy all the town has to offer and surrounding area. Clean, really well furnished and equipped. One of the best we've stayed in.

The Counting House was really, really lovely. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it to friends and family. It had lots of space for two people, was very clean and comfortable and had the most amazing mural on the bedroom wall painted by the owners

What a lovely holiday home to stay in, filled with history and beautiful architecture. The house was lovely and clean, the bed was so comfortable and the kitchen had everything you could need. The owners Alison and Peter were only a message away if we needed anything, Alison checked in with us as the weather had been particularly bad, to ask if everything was okay and we assured her that it was. We can highly recommend the Counting House and would be happy to return there. The town itself was steeped in history and everyone we met were friendly and welcoming. A great place to stay.

A very comfortable and pleasant stay, the house was quirky but spacious and was great for the two of us. Everything you need for a get away break was there and it is very handy for the town's eating places- You must try Le Mistral. Wirksworth is great base for the southern Peaks with some great walking nearby ..Dovedale, Monsal Trail, Cromford Canal. As well as Bakewell and Chatsworth to visit along with Haddon Hall being a must. Thoroughly recommend The Counting House with Alison & Peter being great hosts.
