We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Blue Cottage while visiting for a family wedding. With six adults in our group, the cottage offered plenty of space for everyone to comfortably gather together while also having room for privacy when needed — especially helpful while getting ready for the wedding festivities.The close proximity to the beach made it perfect for relaxing walks, and we loved exploring the neighborhood. There were a couple of run down houses, but many beautiful and upgraded ones. (Including one with a pool, right next door.)The cottage itself was nicely updated and very comfortable.The hot tub was the perfect way to unwind. We enjoyed our stay and would return again.

We loved the house and the location. Short walk to the beach and a quiet road to ride bikes. Hosts were great and even left a welcome gift. We will definitely be back!

The house was beautifully decorated, cozy, and well-appointed with everything we needed. We chose it because it was dog-friendly, and it was that and more. We were close to the beach and to lots of good spots in Kitty Hawk and Nags Head. The winter weather was mild so we were able to enjoy the screened porch and the hot tub. The showers were hot and the water pressure was around. Beds and bedrooms were comfortable. We cooked one night and had everything necessary to make a full meal.

We stayed at the Blue Bungalow for 6 days and nights with another couple. Pros: This is a beautifully appointed place. It's clean, has beautiful floors, adequate cookware and decent dishes. The linens were also decent quality. Cons: It is noisy from traffic noise from the Coastal highway. We expected this from it's place on the map, but some might find it disturbing. Our biggest concern was the overall feeling of stinginess and scolding that pervaded both the process of paying and staying there. I had no choice but to give the rental agency my bank account number, because they charged an extra $30 to use a credit card. I was able to pay with a check for the last part of the transaction where there was more lead time. There is no salt, pepper, or any commonly used condiments. No dish soap. No saran, wax paper or foil. We only needed one of those. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. While the beds suggest it could sleep 8 people, there is only furniture for 4 comfortably in the living room, or screened in porch. We were asked to take the trash out for Thursday pickup (not a problem), but when I couldn't find any trash-bags, I was told I would have to buy them. When I responded with only "wow", someone was sent over the next day to give us a trash bag. I was also told that there were no beach chairs for us to use, but the note from the owners (I think) said that we were welcome to use the chairs in the storage area. These may be new property managers? I hope so.
