You can keep it casual with the BBQ on hand for easy holiday feasts, or head up the road for a selection of cafes. When it's time to burn off some energy, you can stroll to the lake at the end of the street for scenic walks and bike rides along the waters edge. Other adventure activities include trips to Huka Falls, visiting the hot springs, or head out for days on the lake...

Family at Wharewaka is a very pleasant bach in a quiet location.
Very close to the lake and handy for a bike ride to town or a short drive.
Plenty of room for our group of 10 adults, the kitchen had all you need appliances.
Also lots of room outside.
15 minute walk a brand new Woolworths and 15 minute walk the other way, a cafe, minigolf and pin bowling.

We had an excellent family stay, was a lovely clean house perfect for what we needed, not too far from Taupo town but far enough, would use again.
Would just suggest maybe a little rubbish bin in the downstairs bathroom.
