Everything about the property was wonderful

Beautiful historic property. Lots of places to explore on site. Great puuc rooms. Room was comfortable and interesting. Both dinner and breakfast were very good.
My husband thought the bed was a little soft but he likes them very firm

It was a unusual hotel beautiful views
Even though the room was massive a little attention to details wouldn’t have gone a miss, light bulbs were out the carpet was really dirty, curtains were torn, I understand the building is old but if your charging 5 star prices It needs to meet 5 star quality, I advised this was for my 60th birthday and got a room with a view of a wall, whilst my friends got an amazing view for nearly £50 less than I Paid.

Good location and a grand building.
Food was actually very good and to be recommended
We stayed in the Lodge which was very disappointing with no bath , small space not even a wardrobe
Young staff really were not knowable about service or their own menus . Reception staff were very helpful.
