Beautiful historic property!

The minimalist urban decor in a historic building was jarring and disappointing. No tub to soak in was also disappointing. Staff were friendly and the room/bathroom was clean. Overall—-disappointing given the price.
A historic building needs a decor that fits its history. Need to add a soaking tub in the cavernous bathroom. You have a gorgeous historic building with beautiful grounds but the amenities are “ho hum”—nothing “special”. Potential is there for a grand hotel and meeting space—-need to “try harder”.

Location was great! Close to alot of shops and restaurants. The architecture was gorgeous. The hotel was beautiful and comfortable. We had wine at the hotel bar and the kid working was friendly and chatty. The history of this place is so interesting, buildings are beautiful.

It was a beautiful place and cool that it has historical significance. The area also seemed quite nice.
However, being that is an old building comes with it lots of creaky floors and doors so it’s hard to sleep hearing all the noises from visitors moving about at night plus you can hear the plumbing which again I’m sure comes with an aging system. But this wouldn’t deter me from staying there again as I still enjoyed my stay at the Blackburn Inn.
