Parador de Siguenza

It's a beautiful place, I had a large room with a nice view. The bathroom was large, clean with a wonderful shower! Large -- king sized? -- comfy bed. The hotel -- former castle -- is cool. I did not eat there, though, so cannot comment on the food. I only spent one night. The staff was cordial, pleasant, no complaints. The town itself is a short walk down the hill to the Plaza Mayor and the Cathedral. I wish I could've spent another night or perhaps even two there. I highly recommend the Parador and a visit to Siguenza.

Historic feel

Nothing to dislike

It’s a privilege to stay in a historical site. It’s was very clean and close to all the sites to see

The pillows which was not a standard pillow but a sausage like long pillow that was too soft and not comfortable to sleep on. Although the mattress was awesome

There was a wedding! This is the second time this has happened. First time ruined our stay because our access to the parador was so restricted (Tortosa). We had no access to the restaurant and were forced to use, what I can only describe as a canteen, with such limited staff that we walked out after 45 minutes without service!! This time not so bad but still restricted. You have no idea this might happen when you book. You should be told and given the chance to cancel at no cost. I choose to stay at a parador to experience the whole building and its hospitality. If that the turns out not to be on offer… as promised when booking, then it is a massive disappointment. I have stayed in paradores probably 30 times and this has happened twice now! I have never been warned that my stay might be restricted by a private function…. That is not right. As an organisation you should either not compromise guests experiences by hosting private functions, or advise them with a minimum notice of e several months, with an option to cancel foc.
