Evergreen Manor and Spa

This is a beautifully renovated traditional home right in the heart of the university campus, right between the university residences and the gorgeous Eerste rivier. The rooms are incredibly spacious, elegantly decorated and possessing an old world charm that is hard to come by these days. The breakfasts were well prepared and delicious. The staff, especially Clayton, were super welcoming and looked after us. I was traveling with my elderly father, our first time back to the town since my graduation over 30 years ago, and we had some special requirements given my Dad’s age and the team really looked after us well! Thanks guys, it was truly memorable!

Breakfast was good and the location was excellent. The room was large and comfortable and the bed was perfect. There was a really good shower (also a super bathtub). In essence, nearly everything was great.

My only complaint, which is very minor, is that the TV went weird on the second day (it asked to be retuned) - this was, however, unimportant for me.

Location excellent. Friendliness of staff. Great breakfast. Room very spacious.

Bed and cushions could be upgraded and the bathroom.

Our room faced on a noisy street with street noise most of the night. Wooden ceiling with a room on top, hearing upstairs neighbours movement. Outside stairs, leading to the top room above ours right in front of our room and entrance to it.
