The location, specifically the terrace overlooking the river.

Everything was great.

Bed comfortable. Room a good size and good view despite not having the river view. Bar and terrace overlooking the river really good. Good standard of decor.

No kettle in the bedroom which meant we could not start the day with a cup of tea. A bit penny pinching considering what we paid. Breakfast seemed expensive so we had the coffee + croissant + juice.

The reception staff were very helpful and helped us with the parking issues, the room was clean tidy and comfortable, nothing to fault there. Breakfast was nice, not a full English but this is Belgium, quality was good and plenty of variation. Overall a very nice well run hotel

Cannot really fault it, everything was explained prior to arrival, if there is a anything to say is that it is right on the edge of the town where the buzz is but we found a pleasant little bar just down the road

Well that’s the first and last time I’ll ever book an Ibis Hotel. First impressions matter.. We arrive, I say ‘Bonjour, checking in…’ Graceless snap back from the young man ‘No check in until 3’, no hello, no welcome, no smile - nothing. We could leave our bags, but had to ask it was not offered. Luckily the town is very pretty to wonder around in while you wait for the unwelcoming hotel to let you in (it’s not cheap, just seems that way). Note there are no tea or coffee facilities in the room although the listing makes you think there are (available upstairs). They don’t answer questions via booking.com while you’re staying there. We stupidly paid extra for a river view but our room was under the terrace so we got table and chair dragging noises still at 22:45
