Staff were brilliant … food was excellent. room spotless.

Nice breakfast, quiet room, nice dinner. Comfortable bed. Everything was fine

Was upgraded to large double at no extra which was lovely and the breakfast was delicious, lovely bar which was reasonably priced.

Nothing not to like

The hotel is located in a lovely area. The breakfast staff were so lovely as was the staff member working at the pool area. The beds were comfortable- the pillows smelt really bad.

Throughout the hotel there was a really strong food smell, fried food. I think our room was also potentially above the kitchen and the room smelt of cooking the whole time which wasn’t pleasant. The pillows in our room smelt damp and sour. We put our own blankets over the top of them as they were that bad. By the time we settled in to bed it was too late to go down and ask for fresh ones. The pool facilities are really tired, the hair in the shower area of the women’s changing area was disgusting. It was also not clear that it would be £18 extra to use the leisure facilities. I stopped at reception to mention the shower area but there was no one around. Breakfast was ok, my daughter and I didn’t really enjoy the food but my husband was quite happy with what was on offer. The food and cooking smells throughout the hotel are honestly really off putting.
