InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach by IHG

Fabulous view but we did pay for the ocean view. Room was well stocked if we wanted to drink or nibble from the mini bar and prices were made clear prior to selection.

The hotel has an overinflated opinion of itself. It is a nice, renovated hotel working with the existing small rooms and spaces. Our room was definitely renovated, but the footprint still very small and everything was a compromise. I now understand we coincidentally booked on a very busy week, so the rate we paid was 30% more than our friends, who were lucky enough to get a 3 day special, and more than 50% expensive than off season rates. We didn't understand that so our expectations were a lot higher than the reality. I would not stay there again unless the rates were significantly more realistic.

Was lovely bright and clean gorgeous views

Super close to the beach easy to get around Beautiful facilities

Good location and view from our room.

The room service rubbish piled up outside numerous rooms on our floor. Where was the cleaning staff? The smell of stale and rotting food and discarded food items strewn everywhere is a disgrace for an expensive hotel.
