Hotel Santa Maria

Demora no check in

Unbeatable location almost opposite the Alcobaça Monastery, a Portuguese National Monument and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We were fortunate to be allocated a front facing room with an amazing view of this stunning building. Considering the location, the cost of our 3 night stay was very reasonable. Easy walk into town. Free parking is limited out front but also available above and behind the hotel. Covered parking at ground floor level is also available for €8 per day. Decent sized room and bathroom. Breakfast is included in the price of the stay and is adequate.

Despite a 3 night stay, and a Portuguese wife, it was pretty impersonal. Don't expect much but an occasional greeting when coming and going or checking out wouldn't go amiss. Hotel is functional but could do with a bit of updating. Neither of these are a deal breaker though and the location and the price paid are adequate reason to stay there again.

Great location with good parking space, rooms basic but has all for the night

Check in times was after 16:00 and it took me almost 45 minutes to checking as it was only one member staff at the reception. Understanable there were carnivals in town but they should be ready to checking with more people at the reception and not make people wait suck long time in the queue

Location was excellent, and free parking

Only one outlet in room (need a converter which there was only one outlet it would fit in.) When checking in, problem with charge and desk clerk not very pleasant when asked to correct it, told we were wrong. Finally admitted to error and corrected it
