Pensiunea Ambient

The location is very close to the Transilvania University, which is good if you travel for work or study. There are many restaurants nearby and the AFI mall is also 5 minutes away. You can walk and get to the city center in about 15-20 minutes. The room was spacious, with very good lighting, which is very useful if you need to work or read in the evening (as I did). The double bed and the pillows were comfortable. The breakfast was varied, with fresh vegetables. The staff at the reception were friendly and helpful.

There was no heating in the room at the beginning. I kept asking and on my last day the heating was turned on, but only the radiator in the room was functional, the one in the bathroom remained perfectly cold. I was told that, if you want heating in your room, you have to ask explicitly for it at the reception, otherwise they use a central heating program that does not include the rooms... The lady serving breakfast complained that the tourists caused her stress and used to take long breaks to smoke and drink coffee outside (even with tourists eating). There is only one coffee machine and, whatever coffee type you choose, it is very small (about 50 ml each). Another tourist and I asked the lady how we could obtain a longer coffee and she snapped at us: "You have the option with breakfast included, this is the coffee you get for free, if you want more, you have to pay for it!" Generally, she seemed rude and aggressive to some tourists (especially to female solo travelers): no smiles, speaking in a too loud voice, quite harsh. It is a pity, because the rest was pretty good, but I will think twice about coming back.

The room size was decent and it was quite comfortable. It is close to the city center. Breakfast was ok.

There is no AC (in summer, it can get very hot). Upper floors are accessible only by stairs. The carpet seems to have never been cleaned. In one of the rooms of the suite smelled from cooking in the restaurant below (it was some sort of air vent, maybe from the hood in the restaurant that passed near the window)

The pictures presented at "Double Room" were not corresponding to reality, except the bed tablehead. The size of room was considerably smaller than what you see in the pictures. I would recommend to present accurately the reality. The receptionist missed from the reception desk for 20 minutes, we had to wait all this time with a baby in the reception to be checked in
