Great location across the street from the canal with all the boats. Plenty of shops, restaurants, etc all within walking distance. The AVEIRO sign for obligatory photos is right across the street. Room was great, especially the balcony. The bar was cozy. Breakfast was good. Maybe a 10-20 minute Bolt/Uber ride to the unique city of Costa Nova where you'll find the houses painted with vertical stripes.
The shower had half a door, which is somewhat normal for some European hotels, but this one was poorly designed so trying to keep water off the floor was an amusing challenge. That wouldn't keep me from staying there again but it's why I didn't give this one a 10.

Convenient and well located. The bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of bath towels
The staff is professional but lacks of warm welcoming attitude and not proactive

This is probably the most beautiful/ spectacular hotel I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. The Art Nouveau decor is gorgeous and the details are fabulous. The staff and location couldn't have been better. The room, breakfast and the cocktails were first class. We are planning a return someday soon.
